Eleven people have been killed and several others injured in a mass shooting at a school the Austrian city of Graz on Tuesday.
The incident happened after a former pupil killed 10 people and shot himself at a secondary school in Graz in the worst school shooing in the country's modern history.
Graz Mayor Elke Kahr said many injured had also been taken to hospital following the shooting, which she called a "terrible tragedy", Reuters reported.
Interior Minister Gerhard Karner said that six of those killed were female and three were male. Graz hospital later confirmed the death of a 10th person, according to Reuters.
The minister further said that around a dozen people had been injured, but gave no further details about the victims.
According to the police, the shooter was a 21-year-old man, who was operating alone when he entered the school with two guns and opened fire. He was found dead in a bathroom and the motive behind the crime remained unclear.
A local report said that the suspect was armed with a pistol and a shotgun, and opened fire on pupils in two classrooms, one of which had once been his own. The report claimed that the suspect had been a victim of bullying.
